The benefits of AMC Math

AMC stands for American Mathematics Competitions. These competitions can motivate students' interest and passion in math, and they can discover their talent through solving challenging problems different from those in the school classes.  Good AMC scores will greatly enhance admission opportunities for students to elite colleges.

 

 

  • It improves logical thinking and problem solving skills through fun competitions.
  • Help boost overall Math scores.  Students who have taken AMC Math tend to have much higher scores in SAT Math.
  • It helps getting into technical majors in all elite universities.
    Both MIT and Caltech ask for AMC scores in their college applications.  Ivy League Colleges and Stanford ask for AMC and AIME scores in their Supplement to the Common Application Forms.
    Most of the students with highest scores end up at top colleges (Harvard, MIT, Caltech, etc)

AMC 8 covers middle school math, with emphasis on problem solving as AMC 8 problems quite often require using multiple tools.

AMC Advanced focus on problem solving techniques for students who plan to take AMC 8 exam in November 2017, from beginning to advanced problems. We will identify any weakness and reinforce their math knowledge and problem solving skills.

AMC 8 Exam Boost focus on problem solving around AMC-8problems, removing any weak spots and improving students' confidence about covered topics in amc-8 and the test.

AMC 10 covers mathematics normally associated with grade 9 and 10. As AMC 10 is competitive math, we will emphasize problem solving skills needed to solve AMC 10 problems. This will be a great exercise for the students to synthesize solutions based on several tools.

AMC 10 Exam Boost focus on problem solving around AMC-10 problems, removing any weak spots and improving students' confidence about covered topics in AMC 10 and the test.
